Experience

School has been a really integral part of my life, thus far. I went to Groton, a Massachusetts boarding school, for my high school education. After a year's break, I enrolled at Princeton University, where I am now on my way to becoming a junior. My major is in Politics. I am also pursuing a certificate in Values and Public Life, which is a Philosophy-related subject. I have tutored since I was a high school student. There, I helped my peers get ahead in mathematics and science. Since I have been in college, I have volunteered at a prison in New Jersey, where I taught GED material to young, incarcerated adults. My subjects of interest vary. In high school, I focused on math and science. However, during my years of higher education, I began to lean towards social science. I have also become a tutor of essay-writing at Princeton's Writing Center. In the year between high school and college, I traveled to South America and took in some of the culture while I backpacked and worked there for nine months. I did some volunteering with an environmental group, and then I performed community services in the nation of Bolivia. I have had a lot of experiences, and I hope to be able to use the lessons I've learned to better the lives of others.
